Meeting Place Organic FarmHuron County, Ontario
Tony & Fran McQuail standing in a hay field mid May with the farm buildings in the background. This shot shows the rolling nature of the land, the buildings we have constructed, and the apple orchard showing as bare trees between the barns and house. The yellow flowers are dandelions, a weed we don’t worry about as it is good early spring grazing and quickly overgrown by the taller growing alfalfa and grasses. Dandelions have deep tap roots and serve to bring up minerals from the subsoil and break up compaction.
