Here I have selected and replanted Suttgarter Onions from last year that I am letting flower and go to seed, so that I will have my own organically grown seed of this very desirable open pollinated winter storage onions. Certified organic farms are required to use certified organically grown seeds and not all popular varieties are available commercially, so seed selecting and saving is an important aspect of both garden and field crop production for organic farms.
