This is our nurse cow / calf facilities. The cows and calves intermingle and socialize normally instead of being penned individually. Using nurse cows to raise calves has eliminated health problems normally associated with confinement raising of calves on artificial milk powder or using pails. And provides a useful purpose for those old girls that have earned that semi-retirement.
