Organic Farm Apprenticeship Program

Stewards Of Irreplaceable Land (SOIL) is looking for farmers and apprentices who are interested in participating in its sustainable farm apprenticeship program.

Are you looking to get some healthy SOIL under your fingernails this spring? Through the SOIL Program you can choose to live and learn on one of many organic farms across Canada. This volunteer opportunity is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is healthy, self-motivated and eager to learn.

Are you a farmer who is looking for an opportunity to pass on your skills in exchange for the new ideas, energy and enthusiasm of a farm apprentice? Any farmer who is committed to truly sustainable agriculture and who emphasizes organic techniques is welcome to apply.

The minimum apprenticeship is 8 weeks and is a serious teaching/learning opportunity. The exchange is usually room and board, teaching and a stipend for the apprentice.
