New Brunswick Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture, proud supporter of the Organic Agriculture Centre of Canada (OACC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2002 with OACC in Truro.

One of our goals:
To foster the development and growth of a strong and viable organic agriculture industry in New Brunswick.

Our Services:

  • An organic production specialist dedicated to working with existing organic producers, processors, new entrants and conventional producers interested in organic production.
  • A team of Professional agrologists, engineers and technologists (IPM Specialists, Soil Specialists, Crop and Livestock Development Specialists, Pest diagnostic lab, Development Officers, etc.) to support organic development opportunities through technical transfer and strategic research activities.
  • The NBDAFA also offers a number of programs useful to producers, which include; Business Risk Management, Environmental, Science and Innovation, Renewal, and Food Safety and Food Quality.
