Two Ways for Partners to Help

The Organic Agriculture Centre of Canada (OACC) is a non-profit organization. As an operating division of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC), we receive many in-kind donations from NSAC. However, our research and operating budgets are covered solely through grants and donations. Each of your dollars will be matched to at least one and perhaps two or three dollars from government to fund OACC projects. Depending upon the goals of your organization, we have two ways in which you can assist us in our work.

1) Grants and Donations

As a non-profit organization we exist through the grants and donations of government agencies, foundations and individual corporations. In our sixth year of operation, we continue to receive research funds from these groups; in this way we know that we are providing value to those we serve. Grants and donations are usually above $5000.00. Our donors are welcome to take advantage of each of the advertising options. Donors exceeding $10,000 will have their logo and a link to their home page, posted on the OACC home page.

2) Advertising

Many companies involved with products of or for the organic sector are small to medium-sized companies. Organic production, processing, distribution and marketing which encompasses many industries, is expanding. We understand that practitioners are very passionate about supporting organic agriculture, and also need a return for their company’s growth as most are in early stages of development. Because of this we offer a comprehensive advertising package (Table 1). Our website and e-zine serve a diverse base of Canadians who want to know more about organic possibilities. It is growing steadily and provides excellent opportunities for exposure. Together, we will grow and expand organic agriculture.

*OACC will recognize 6 categories of OACC Partners:

1. Gold partners contributing $10,000/yr or more will be recognized with their brand name and logo on the OACC home page for one year and will have all of the Bronze and Select Business Benefits listed above.

2. Silver partners contributing $5,000 -$9,999/yr will be recognized with their brand name and logo on the OACC monthly Ezine for one year and will have all of the Bronze and Select Business Benefits listed above.

3. Bronze partners contributing $2,500 - $4,999/yr will be recognized with their logo on one of the OACC Main Pages and will have all of the Select Business Benefits listed above.

4. Select Business partners contributing $1000 - $2,499/yr will be recognized on the OACC Partners page, with an index card, brand name and logo and an ad on the OACC Classified Page for 1 Year.

5. Small Business partners contributing $500 - $999/yr will be recognized with a link to their home page and an ad on the OACC Classified Page for 1 Year.

6. Networking partners will be recognized with an ad on the OACC Classified Page for 1 Year.
