3rd Bi-Annual Organic Connections Conference

November 16 to 18, 2008 the 3rd Bi-Annual Organic Connections Conference
will be held in the Grand Salon, TCU Place, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

"We are building upon our past successes, bringing together all members of
the organic sector," says Debbie Miller, President of the Organic
Connections Board of Directors, "and making a concerted effort to expose
more people to what organics has to offer."

Miller notes that while consumers are focusing more on nutritious, safe
food, they are also becoming very conscious of the many 'food miles'
attached to much of what they eat on a daily basis. The desire to support a
more sustainable local food production system leads to greater opportunities
for organic producers, processors and marketers. While at Organic
Connections attendees will be provided an opportunity to expand their minds
and cultivate their senses through informative workshops, enlightening
keynote speakers and interactive sessions, all with leading organic
community members.

Things kick off Sunday afternoon with a workshop, followed by 'Taste of
Organic' an exciting food fair and trade show highlighting organic and
sustainable options for all. Monday and Tuesday participants will attend
sessions centered on four themes, Connecting, Sustainability, Lifestyles and
Farming. Celebrating organic food and farmers is an integral part of every
Organic Connections event. An "Old Thyme Country Supper and Dance" Monday
evening will give everyone a chance to kick up their heels and have some
fun.

Organic Connections was first held in November 2004 and has continued every
two years since in Saskatoon. It continues to be a leading Canadian source
for the gathering of information and knowledge on all things organic. The
conference is run by a committed group of volunteers who represent a very
solid cross section of the organic farming community.
