Ecology of Farming and Food Systems - Sweden

Master's level course worth 6 ECTS. This calculates into approx. 15-20 hours of work per week, for nine weeks. The course 2006 is scheduled to start on Feb 6th and end April 7th.

The course is entirely internet-based, so it is possible to participate from anywhere! The Nordic School of Agroecology (A NOVA network of teachers from Universities in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Iceland) is proud to be offering this course.

This course is an excellent introduction to the field of agroecology.

The course is based on a case study of an organic farm in Denmark. Using this case, students get the opportunity to explore topics such as the structure and functioning of agroecosystems, multifunctionality of agriculture, ecosystem services and systems
thinking.

Every week there will be input from professors from different universities in Scandinavia, so it will be an interactive and valuable experience!
