Harbourside Organic Farmers' Market: Oakville, Ontario

Dates/Times: June 19 – October 30, 2010, Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Location: Centennial Square, 120 Navy Street, Oakville, Ontario (located at Navy Street/Lakeshore Rd. beside the Oakville Central Library)

An open-air market with regionally produced items from the best food artisans, growers and crafters within a 150 km radius.

Featuring fresh local in-season produce from organic or transitional farms * prepared artisanal meats * cheeses and breads * musical entertainment * chef demonstrations * information booths on sustainable gardening * food preservation demonstrations * a multitude of children's activities * strong educational component promoting sustainable food systems.

Community Organizations are welcome to (1) book the Free Speech booth to promote and raise public awareness of your cause. A canopy tent and six foot table is supplied for $20, or (2) hold your own Special Event in partnership with the market with events pertaining to food, performance art & culture.
